Sexism, a form of discrimination or devaluation because of a persons sex. This comes from beliefs, traditions, society, and media. Sexism is most often associated with discrimination against woman but it can include many other issues. Sexism can be anything from society beating down male nurses to the degrading images that are given to women in music videos. Although the world is starting to evolve and we’re starting to see less and less housewives; women struggle with inferior wages to men and are often still seen as the ones who are just there to take care of the children. Sexism is not an issue that is seen largely like racism, however it’s a problem that is very much present and it’s unfortunate how often it’s ignored.
