My experience at the Mosque was very nice. I originally went as a way to expand my horizons about different religions. I sat in and observed their prayer and worship. The word given was very insightful and actually very similar to things i have heard in the church. It kind of showed me that although religions praise different Gods the ideas and values they teach the people are very similar. The people there were probably the nicest people I’ve ever met and they invited me to come back the next day for basketball and a very nice Arabic dinner. The food was amazing and I had so much fun. I return almost every Saturday and I like to try to take new people because I think the experience can really help some people. Truth be told the Arabic culture is not always so respected in this country and I believe this experience can change the negative opinions people have and help them realize that they are good people and human beings like all of us and they deserve respect.
